It may sound like a cry for help, but my “May Day” cry is celebratory.
It’s May 1! May Day!
I love holidays. I especially love an underdog holiday — you know, a holiday that kind of gets kicked under the rug and forgotten.
May Day is sometimes forgotten. But it shouldn’t be.
May baskets are super fun. And easy! You just find a basket (that’s an important step — May baskets need to be gifted in a basket) and put some good stuff in the basket.
If you don’t have a decorative basket, I think a laundry basket would suffice. It’s a basket. And it would hold a lot of good stuff. I bet it would hold approximately 152 Brussels sprouts.
And who wouldn’t want 152 Brussels sprouts for May Day?
As a special May Day present to anyone reading this, I shall share photos of pigeons in a garden. The pigeons are probably celebrating May Day.
Pigeons are like the underdog of birds. This is probably why they love May Day so much!
Embrace pigeons. And May Day.
Just don’t put a pigeon in a May basket — that might not be the best gift idea.
