EMOF: Day 6

Exciting Moments of February, Day 6

I shed tears of joy when I looked at Meredith’s daisy tonight.

See? See?

IT’S A BUD!!!!!

The daisy and I are officially buds! [We totally fist-bumped. Twice.]

I’ve been pampering this plant for at least a year. It bloomed ONCE, then almost died.

I nursed it back to life, gave it a new pot and some new soil, and watered it whenever it looked parched.

I’ve told the daisy stories. I’ve sung songs to it. I’ve whispered sweet nothings under its leaves.

Apparently, the little plant was listening! So. Exciting. I’ll keep the pictures a comin’. Perhaps I’ll even take some during the day when there’s good light.

In other news, I made split pea soup at about 10:00 tonight. I’m contemplating eating it for breakfast. And I’m pretty darn excited about it.

  1. Meredith says:

    1) That daisy is damn lucky to have you. It would have been long dead under my “care” (AKA neglect).
    2) I questioned what I was smelling at 10 PM last night. I now have my answer.
