Dinner with a Smile:)

Julius the orange tree is molting. Julius is wintering in my bedroom, and I find leaves on the floor every day. It’s kind of depressing. But, Julius perked up last spring and I’m sure he’ll do the same this spring.

Also, I’ve had a cold. I continue to be impressed with my own snot. I’m also not entirely sure that the giant blue fuzzy I found in my handkerchief didn’t come from my head.

Since Julius and I haven’t been feeling our best, I made myself a “Laura Happy Meal.” (Julius got water for dinner.)

The main course — quinoa chickpea pilaf. (It makes good hair.)

Unfortunately, carrots with balsamic created a bit of a head wound on the plate. No worries — it was a happy head wound!

I know I feel better. And I think Julius is coming to terms with the leaf loss.

Yay! I think the quinoa makes the face plate look like a poodle (in the best way).

I thoroughly enjoy the “happy meal”, however I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the extent of the quinoa and chickpea pilaf that was consumed…unless you’re really sick!!! 🙂
