I celebrated George Washington’s birthday today. It was quite the celebration.
I’ve heard George really liked butternut squash and garbanzo beans, so I made a little Moroccan tangine in his honor. It was mushy (good mushy, not bad mushy), so I’m sure George’s wooden teeth could have easily handled it.
I also conned a saw owner into sawing additional pieces of my door that will someday click its heels and turn into headboard. George would approve of the woodwork.
And, in more traditional birthday celebration fare, I saw True Grit and ate ice cream. I believe GW also had a thing for Jeff Bridges and key lime Coldstone.
I plan on making this an annual celebration. Perhaps I’ll add powder wig birthday hats next year.
